At Upper Grand Eye Care, we offer a specialized vision therapy program designed to enhance visual skills and improve overall visual comfort for our patient. Our non-surgical approach targets various vision-related conditions and dysfunctions, providing tailored solutions to meet individual needs.
Vision Therapy is a personalized program prescribed by the doctor to address vision problems beyond the scope of glasses or contact lenses. It targets issues such as:
Strabismus (eye turn)
Eye Tracking Issues
Eye Teaming Problems
Focusing Problems
Visual Processing Issues
Vision-Related Learning Challenges
Amblyopia (lazy eye)
Syntonics (optometric phototherapy) is used as part of a comprehensive vision therapy program. Light entering the eyes can have a profound impact on visual comfort and improve processing. Key components include:
Colored Filters or Lenses are used to expose the eyes to particular wavelengths of light.
The colors are carefully selected based on the individual's specific visual needs.
Syntonics is personalized and non-invasive, tailored for optimal visual wellness.
Children and adults experiencing visual challenges may benefit from vision therapy. Having the following signs suggests that you or your child could benefit from vision therapy.
Holding devices/books close to face
Short attention span with reading/writing
Poor posture at desk
Moving head while reading
Slow reading speed and poor comprehension
Difficulty with spelling/handwriting
Poor eye-hand coordination

Weekly appointments at a specified time.
Each session lasts 50 minutes and it includes the following:
Customized Exercises: Targeting specific visual skills and abilities, guided by trained vision therapists.
Syntonics: Incorporating light to optimize visual function.
The patient is expected to practice their exercises at home, at least 4x/week. This will reinforce the skills learned during therapy sessions.
Sessions are booked in blocks of 10.
After each block of 10, there is a progress check with the doctor to assess improvements and challenges.
